Annual Mardi Gras Parade - February 1, 2016

The staff and resident's at North Mobile Nursing and Rehabilitation Center did not let a little rain keep the good times from rollin'. We held our annual Mardi Gras Parade on Wednesday, February 3, 2016.

Thank you to all of our wonderful vendors that came out and made the parade a huge success, and also to the Leflore Band who provided the wonderful music.

I just wanted to let you know what an experience it has been volunteering at the center and working with you in the activity department. There is so much to do because each week you are giving a party for the residents which keeps them busy and inspired.

Since I have been there you have given a tailgate party, Alzheimer and Cancer walks, hotdog party, and birthday parties with balloons and colorful paper. The most memorable party was the halloween party with a theme of "101 Dalamatians". The residents wore white tee shirts with black dots and some had ears hanging from beneath their caps and all had big smiles.

The ladies look forward each week to their manicures. They study the polish looking for the right color. Even the bedridden residents look forward to their manicure and all hold indepth conversations while they are being pampered.

As I said I have enjoyed working at the center.
